Crypto Tracker by JanabiSoft: Complete User Guide

Getting Started & Dashboard Overview

Welcome to Crypto Tracker. This app is designed to be your central command center for cryptocurrency trading. Unlike automated trackers that require risky API keys, Cryptos allows you to maintain a manual, private, and precise trading journal.

Your Main Dashboard

When you launch the app, the home screen provides a high-level view of your financial standing:

  • Total Portfolio Value: The current fiat value of all your active holdings combined.

  • Profit/Loss (P&L): A real-time calculation of how much you are up or down.

  • Asset Distribution: A breakdown of which coins make up the largest percentage of your wealth.

The Real-Time Feed

The dashboard syncs with global market data. If you see a price fluctuation, it reflects the weighted average of major global exchanges, ensuring your "Unrealized Profit" is always accurate to the minute.

Logging Your First Trade

Precision is key to successful trading. To add a trade to your journal, follow these steps:

Step-by-Step Entry:

  1. Select Asset: Tap the (+) or "Add Trade" button. Search for the coin (e.g., BTC, ETH, or SOL).

  2. Transaction Type: Choose whether this was a Buy (Long) or Sell (Short/Close).

  3. Exchange Selection: Note which exchange you used (Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, etc.). This helps you track where your liquidity is located.

  4. Price & Quantity: Enter the exact price you paid per coin and the total amount purchased.

  5. Save: Once saved, the app immediately calculates your "Break-even" point and starts tracking live ROI.

Pro Tip: Enter your trades immediately after they execute on the exchange to ensure your records match your exchange history perfectly.

Analyzing Performance & ROI

The "Insights" section of the app is where data becomes strategy. We go beyond simple balance tracking to show you how you are performing.

Key Metrics Defined:

  • ROI (Return on Investment): Expressed as a percentage. If you bought $100 of Bitcoin and it is now worth $120, your ROI is 20%.

  • Realized vs. Unrealized:

    • Unrealized: Profit "on paper." You haven't sold yet.

    • Realized: Profit "in the bank." This is calculated after you log a "Sell" trade.

  • Average Entry Price: If you buy Bitcoin at $40k and again at $60k, the app calculates your weighted average so you know exactly when you are "in the green."

Use these metrics to decide when to "Take Profit" or when to "HODL" during market volatility.

Managing Your Trading Journal

A good trader treats their activity like a business. The Trading Journal page allows you to review your history and correct mistakes.

Editing and Deleting

  • Correcting Errors: Made a typo in your entry price? Tap on the specific trade in your history list to edit the details.

  • Deleting Trades: If you entered a test trade or a duplicate, swipe or select the delete option to remove it from your calculations.

Historical Review

By scrolling through your history, you can see your performance over different market cycles. Look for patterns: Are you more successful with Large Cap coins (BTC/ETH) or Mid-Cap altcoins? Use the journal to refine your focus.
