Family Quest (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your family’s privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information when you use our mobile application.
2. Information We Collect
- Account Information: When a parent creates an account, we collect an email address and name via Firebase Authentication.
- Family Data: We store “Quest” titles, “Tribe” member names, and point totals in Firebase Firestore.
- Device Information: We collect technical data (e.g., device model, OS version) via Firebase Crashlytics to monitor app performance.
3. Third-Party Services
To provide a high-quality experience, we integrate the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob: Used to display advertisements to non-subscribers. AdMob may collect Advertising IDs to serve ads. Note: For accounts identified as children, we request only non-personalized ads.
- RevenueCat: Used to process and manage premium subscriptions. RevenueCat handles anonymized purchase tokens to verify access; we do not store your credit card information.
- Firebase Analytics: Used to understand how the app is used (e.g., how many quests are completed) to improve features.
4. Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Family Quest is designed for use by parents and their children.
- We do not require children to provide personal contact information (like email or phone numbers).
- Children’s profiles are created and managed solely by the parent/guardian.
- Advertisements shown to children are filtered to be family-appropriate and follow Google Play’s “Designed for Families” requirements.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data as long as your account is active. Parents may delete their account and all associated family data at any time through the “Settings” menu or by contacting our support email.
6. Subscriptions and Ads
Users who purchase a “Premium Guild Membership” through RevenueCat will have all third-party advertisements removed from their experience. This also disables the collection of Advertising IDs for that specific account.
